H I S T O R Y

Johannes was born in London, the last of Charlene Heineken and Michel de Carvalho's five children. His eldest sister Mieke, seven years his senior, moved away when he was three. And so he grew up with his remaining three siblings, remembering her only vaguely as a girl who knew how to be anything.

His childhood was uneventful, but not unhappy, full of laughter and riches, everything that he could ever want-- and normal as his family was capable of being. An incident years ago when he was five that involved a bright light, his brother's eye and his sister sticks out rather vividly when he looks back, but there was never anything particularly lifechanging.

Until one night when he was fifteen. A fall off a balcony could have taken his life, but it didn't. Instead, it gave him a pair of wings and left him unharmed, bewildered beyond words, but alive and well all the same. The rest of the night passed like a dream and when morning came he'd decided it was just that.

The next two years would prove to him that it wasn't. The wings started manifesting themselves at inopportune times while he tried to continue with his normal, uninteresting life, with his studies and his sports his music and his getting to know the elder sister he never knew.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Cheerful, good-natured, casual and spirited, Johannes is by no means stuck up, despite his family's wealth. He's a joker at heart, doing most everything in a light-hearted manner, rarely taking things to heart and treating life like a game.

Never content to stand aside while the action's going on, Johannes prefers to be right in the centre of almost everything-- or slightly off-centre, depending on where he's more likely to get attention, because he does a lot of what he does just to get it, and is actually very little without an audience.

While cutting remarks and insults rarely get to him, Johannes reacts to certain subjects completely the wrong way and if he doesn't blow up right there on the spot, he drags it out and goes into a state of moodiness and is generally bad tempered until he forgets what he's upset about.
